We have already told you: Granada is one of our favorite cities. The reasons are several, although there is one that will never, never, never let us down: tapas! Having returned to this beautiful city with Lety's parents we have put ourselves in a super professional plan and, with a huge sacrifice, we have tried the tapas of a few places ... And all this just so that you can know where to eat the best tapas of Pomegranate. Then don't say we don't love you.

A typical place, of all life, with paintings of Granada on the walls, bottles of wine everywhere and authentic atmosphere. We took some rods and they did not serve an abundant lid of meat in very rich sauce, with a sweet touch that we personally like very much.

  • The best: rich and abundant tapa, local with personality and away from the hordes of tourism
  • The worst: not having stayed to try another :-p
  • Price: € 2

Another great trip discovery! The place is nothing of the other world but it has something very good: place to sit, which is not always there in Graná :-p We stayed here with our friend Eviña and we had several tapas. The Milanese, which seems to be the star of the bar since everyone asked for it, is not of an excellent quality but hey, it is a fried Milanese, what do you want ?. Rober caught grates and came 3 grilles that seemed to have been torn from a giant squid, they were somewhat "chichle" but my boyfriend was delighted so we recommend them 🙂 We also tried chicken croquette from the house, well, Eva ate spinach croquettes and He said they were good and Rober continued with a moruno skewer that was normal. But overall we liked the site a lot!

  • The best: variety of tapas, abundant.
  • The worst: the place is not the prettiest there is but well, with that they feed us well and much… :-p
  • Price: € 2

If you like Arab cuisine like us, you have to come here. It is a Moroccan restaurant run by a very kind man. We tried 4 different tapas: kefta tajine (very tasty, they serve it with bread so you can slice the salsilla with pleasure), cheese roll (oh my gosh, we could eat 20 in a row but we don't want to become a man and woman michelin ... but try at least one is delicious), cous cous (rich although Rober is more a fan of this cover than me), falafel (never fails, well yes it fails, but not here. Very rich).

  • The best: tapas are Arabic so you can have a break from the typical, there is also a lot of offer and they are abundant
  • The worst: the place is somewhat dark but well, I say this to have to put something but I do not care, as if it were in a cave ... we ate luxury and we will return fixed!
  • Price: € 2

We had the big surprise of this trip at Los Diamante, a place that is well known among the people of Granada (and it seems that there is a lot of guiri too… it must be included in a Russian and English travel guide because it was full of tourists since 12 in the morning! ). You can not choose the cover, it goes directly from the kitchen but trust the wise chef ... my mother how rich everything was !! Especially the Fmixed rhythm ... mmm of the best we ever tried.

Update 2018: A cow poop. Come on, it's not this either. Upon returning to Granada this was one of the first places we wanted to return to and the tapas that were served were not what we expected. We understand that tapas are a plus and thatgive away a horse don't look at his tooth But Jolin, the first dish they put us was eggplant with honey. Good huh, but when you're looking forward to biting a fried anchovy they know little. The second cover was 7 mussels. Nuooooo! Obviously everyone else had mixed fry, dogfish and anchovies and we with 3.5 mussels each 🙁

Another thing: we could not go since it was always to be re-sold, but we recommend you try Los Diamantes de Calle Navas, apparently there they eat one of the best fish tapas in Granada (and I bet they don't give you 3 , 5 mussels :-p).

  • The best: the tapas they gave us were plentiful and delicious (although on our second visit we had no luck)
  • The worst: it is (almost) always full :-p
  • Price: € 2

If the great defect of Los Diamantes is that the place has no personality, in Casa Julio you will find an authentic Granada bar, of which we like so much. Tiles, colors, photos, personality in abundance come on! And a deathly battered dogfish! Of the richest we tried, so much that for us it is in a hypothetical top3 of the Best tapas in Granada.

Update: if we liked it on our first visit, we fell in love with the second! The dogfish is the best we ever tasted, with a delicious finite batter and the fish melts in your mouth. Buah, amazing. We also tried the anchovies and they are very rich.

  • The best: the dogfish and how authentic the place is.
  • The worst: there are no seats, you can only have a drink at the bar.
  • Price: € 2.

Another place of those legendary 🙂 super Grenadian (sorry, granaino) with a hearth and a lot of atmosphere. We recommend you take a cane with a ham lid ... sometimes the clasicazos are the ones that succeed. Eye: do not confuse it with another place of similar name, the Old Castañeda Winery.

  • The best: quaint place and good atmosphere
  • The worst: it gets very crowded.
  • Price: € 3.

In the Minotaur you can fill the belly with simple but tasty tapas: come on, the quality is not to throw rockets but it is a great place if you want to fill the gut. The walls here are decorated with napkins full of messages from customers and the place is one that anyone would have liked to have near their university. The lid they put on us was a thread with aioli, lettuce and loin. It was delicious!

  • The best: Of all the threads we ate on this tapas tour, this was the richest.
  • The worst: "alone" they gave us the threads with potato chips ... we were expecting some fried potatoes or something else (is that Granada accustoms you too well haha).
  • Price: € 1.70.

We continue with another bar that bets on super tapas (super understood as great, not as super rich hehe)! Here we take a cane that was accompanied by a ham and cheese thread (richer than that of Beauty and the Beast) and potatoes with ketchup and aioli.

  • The best: abundance.
  • The worst: after having covered in Beauty and the Beast and in the Minotaur we were a little bored ...
  • Price: € 2

If one day we opened a tapas bar, the concept would be quite similar to that of the Babel World Fusion: ethnic tapas from all places in the world! Tandori chicken, Thai sautéed, falafel, Persian meatballs, hummus, baked pasta, curry croquettes, Mexican fajitas, kebab ... these and others are the proposal of local tapas. We tried sauteed thai (noodles), chicken tandori, sushi and black rice with squid. Abundant and rich dishes (except the sushi that was one piece per person and was nothing remarkable).

Update 2018: A few days ago we were in Granada and we returned to the Babel. The truth is that Rober was never a big fan of the place and in this case my love for Babel went down a few degrees in the thermometer of the tapamor (?). We tried Persian meatloaf, which they serve with a cream of peas and oregano, which was somewhat sour and wings with honey and white rice, these were not bad.

  • The best: the wide variety of dishes and the place as there are enough places to sit.
  • The worst: you can only ask for two types of cover (for us we were 4). In addition there are days when the lid is fixed, for example we ate the sushi because it was the cover of the day, without being able to choose another one of first cover.
  • Price: € 1.70-2.

We already knew this place (there are actually several) and we wanted to go back to see if the tapas were still as big as ever. And yes: they followed graaaaandes! The tapas here are really mega tapas. The system is of fixed tapas: for each consumption they change the lid, for example of first they put us a plate with a ham thread, fries with aioli and croquettes, of second hamburger, brave potatoes and olives…

Many criticize this chain for its lack of quality. Ok, it is not a delicatessen at all and yes, it is full of tourists peeeeero, for something it will be right? And if you want to fill your stomach for a few € it is a very good place!

  • The best: the amount ... with two rods here you eat / dinner quietly!
  • The worst: they do not unleash because of their great quality.
  • Price: € 2.20.

If you are looking for a place with quality tapas and vegan El Ojú is going to require you to sing! Try the meatballs, they're dead. We look forward to returning to continue trying things on the letter. We read that hamburgers and paella are also very worthwhile.

  • The best: quality. Very rich 🙂
  • The worst: it is not very central that it is said, so if you are a tourist you catch something at odds
  • Price: € 2.50.

For the second time we did not go since we did not have more time but we recommend you go and try their eggplants fries: from what they told us they are addictive! So I leave it here, for the record: we promise to go on the next visit to Granada.

We were left in the inkwell a few more places (it is that we were only a few days in Granada and literally in our stomach there was not even the hair of a shrimp!)
