It is the place where, every time I went to Milan, I ended up doing “appetizer”: For € 11 you have a drink and a free buffet of pasta, pizza, risotto, sandwiches, and also sweet options (nutella pizza!)… There are a lot of drinks to choose from, but if you never tried the spritz Aperol you We advise it to be your choice. On our last visit I tried the Coconut and Mint Spritz and it is a resounding NO (who does it happen to ask for that? EVIL) instead, the Maracuja Spritz looked great! Be in the coolest area of Milan: Navigli. The only negative note is that it gets very crowded, so you better see it early (opens at 6pm) Likewise, in the same street there are endless places that offer snacks, but for us the Spritz is the best!

Here the most famous panzerotti in the city. Don't you know what are panzerotti? They are a kind of empanadilla with different types of filling. The classic recipe, typical of southern Italy, is tomato and mozzarella. Luini It is a good place to snack or eat something fast. Do not be fooled: they are small but thugs, with a good snack, if you are hungrier ask for 2. We try the tomato and mozzarella and the zucchini and mozzarella integral. Total price: € 5.20.

One of the dishes to try in Milan is the “cotoletta alla milanese”, A breaded pork chop to suck your fingers. In this restaurant they prepare up to 15 different types: The original, which has nothing, is simply the breaded chop, costs € 14, while the most elaborate cost about € 15-17. The shot, with speck and brie has to be dead. The dishes are huge so a good idea is to take a cotoletta and another dish to share (if there is risotto alla milanese -with saffron- as a dish of the day, do not hesitate!).

The best breakfasts, patisseries and coffee shops in Milan

The bar of the Prada Foundation is the Luce Bar, which seems anchored to the vintage past without giving up a few modern and trendy touches ... remember that you are in the most fashionable city on the globe 😉

Other recommended cafes are Orso Nero, Otto (one of the best brunch in Milan) and, of course, you have to try the delicacies of Italian patisseries. Pasticceria Pavé is the perfect place for those who want to opt for the classic Italian breakfast formed by capuccino and cornetto (croissant) and the Premiata Cremeria Rossi is great for tasting Sicilian specialties such as slushies or cannoli.

Another coffee stop is the Starbucks of Piazza Cordusio (the first in Italy!). Not so much for the coffee, obviously, as for the beautiful building that houses it: they say it is the most beautiful Starbucks in the world.

So far our recommendations of restaurants where to eat in Milan (you know, good and cheap). If you know more sites leave us a comment 🙂
