The trip to Milan and Bergamo in 4 days took us back to Italy, a country we return to whenever we can. Milan is considered the capital of fashion, just to visit its spectacular Duomo is already worth it. Bergamo is a city with a beautiful historic center in the upper area.

On this occasion we flew from Girona to Bergamo, where we arrived late at night and took a bus from the airline that took us directly to Milan, where we stayed the first two nights of our trip to Milan and Bergamo.
The first day we spent in Milan we met places such as the Duomo, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, the Teatro de la Escala, the Sforceso Castle, the Golden Quadrilateral ... and we enjoyed many hours of walks in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Italy.
On the second day in Milan we dedicate ourselves to getting lost in its streets, enjoying its fabulous gastronomy and continuing to know the city, visiting places such as the Brera area, the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie ...
The afternoon of this third day trip to Milan and Bergamo, we took a train that took us to Bergamo, where we spent the last night of our trip.
The fourth day we took the opportunity to visit this city, which fell in love as soon as we arrived and which is one of the great strangers and a perfect complement to the city of Milan in a getaway these days.

      Hi luciano,
With those days, the planning is perfect. Although you could spend another day in Milan, for a first time, pay a visit to Lake Como and Bergamo, it's also great.
      regards

    Good,
First congratulate you on your blog, it is very entertaining to read your guides. I am organizing a trip to Milan for a weekend in May, and I have already booked the Hotel, near the Central Station (Following your guide). But I have some doubts, I have not yet taken the flights (We travel from Madrid) and I do not know which airport to choose (Bergamo or Linate), if I go to Linate which is closer but the flight lands at 23h or arrive at Bergamo at 20:25 and take the Bus to Milan. Is it worth arriving from Bergamo and catching the bus in order to arrive sooner? And the other question I have is whether it will give us time to see the city in a little more than 1 day and a half (arrival Friday and return Sunday evening).
    Thanks in advance,
    Greetings!

      Hi Abde,
We would choose based on the price, both of the flight and after the trip. Taking into account that you are not going to make a stop in Bergamo, perhaps it is best to arrive at 11pm, provided you have transportation to the city center, something that is also worth contemplating.
About seeing the city in 1 day and a half, although it is always ideal to have more days, you can see the most important tourist places are problems.
Enjoy it! Milan is an amazing city 😉
      regards

I am planning a trip through some European countries, mainly Italy, Holland and Spain, for the summer of 2015, but my level of English is very basic; This causes me some panic… I accept recommendations, please

      Hi Anabel,
In Spain you will not have a problem, everyone speaks Spanish 😉 In Italy you will also have no problem but to "adapt" the ear a little, since Italian is quite similar to Spanish and if you speak in Spanish they will understand you just like you . And in Holland, with which you master some English words, you will have enough.
Although it is never too much to learn the language more, although always making it clear that not speaking it does not prevent travel. Regards!!

      Hi Lidia!
It is a somewhat unknown destination, but it has everything you need to spend a few days "relaxing" in the purest Italian style. We find it a perfect complement after spending a few days in Milan.
