In a trip to Scotland, a Highly recommended visit is St Andrews, a small medieval town that is not too far from Edinburgh, an hour and a half drive northeast.

In this visit we can stroll through the streets of a town of medieval origin with historical university tradition, and that in the past was the ecclesiastical center of Scotland. The greatest exponent of the latter are the beautiful ruins of what the Middle Ages was the largest cathedral in Scotland.

From the tower of the old church of St Rule we will have incredible Panoramic views of these ruins and the town of St Andrews. And, of course, we can also visit their famous golf courses, dating back to the year 1400, and that have given St Andrews worldwide fame as the first place where such sport was practiced.
