Day 15: LAS VEGAS - DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK - THREE RIVERS - SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK (NORTH ENTRANCE)

Today is presented as a long day, so we start the morning very early and at 6.30 in the morning we are having breakfast at the Hotel Luxor where we find much more atmosphere than we expected in both the halls and the casino.
Today we are going to visit Death Valley from Las Vegas and as we go along the road, the heat squeezes much more, so we take turns driving. The recommendations are that you have to bring a lot of water and a full tank of gasoline because Death valley There are very few and staying with these hot conditions can be deadly.
The first point we are going to see is near Furnace Creek Road. You have to climb a small mountain and from there there is a incredible views of Death Valley. The point is called Dante's View.

After being here for a while admiring this spectacular corner we take the rental car in the United States again and we go to the Zabriskie Point, incredible formations formed by the erosion of the earth.

One of the most impressive visits to Death Valley or Death Valley is the Devil's Golf Course or "Devil's Golf Course", a sea of salt and one of the hottest areas in the world.

Near there we found Badwater, an area of saline soil where the lowest point of the western hemisphere is located at about 86m below sea level.

Visiting Death Valley from Las Vegas is a must for us and it really attracts our attention. The colors and contrasts are impressive.
In total we spend about 4 hours at Death Valley National Park and we have to say that running through it drains us a lot, since the heat is very noticeable, still carrying the air conditioning in the car.
Before leaving for the next point of our trip, we took advantage of the fact that we found a restaurant leaving the Death Valley National Park where we eat some hot dogs that recharge us with enough energy to continue the trip along the West Coast of the United States.

From the Death Valley National Park We go to Sequoia, which will be our visit tomorrow and although our GPS shows us a route that seems normal, after the experience we can say that it is the worst journey we have ever done by car.
They mark it as a "normal" route, but once underway, we find a road full of curves, with a maximum speed of 30 km / hour that takes 5 hours to cross. And all this almost without gas, suffering from staying with the empty tank. Lucky that when we are already with the reserve on we have found a gas station, in the middle of nowhere that has saved us the trip.

If we initially planned to arrive at our hotel, the Western Holiday Lodge in the afternoon, this has been delayed until the evening, so we have not had more strength than to have dinner and go to bed to rest.
This last leg of the trip has been exhausting.
