Is Berlin guide in one day It is designed for travelers who have little time or to optimize the route for a first day in one of the most amazing cities in the world.
Berlin is a city with a strong character marked by a tragic history, in which its almost total destruction during World War II and the subsequent construction of the Berlin Wall during the time of the "Cold War", are still very present in several places of the city. And although with the passage of time, Berlin has become a modern and multicultural city full of museums, parks and places with a liberal atmosphere, in which it is impossible to get bored at any time, history is still very present in many of their places.
Based on the experience of our trips to Berlin in 7 days and Berlin in 4 days we have made this guide to travel Berlin in one day. We start!

How to go from the airport to the center of Berlin

Keep in mind that most low-cost airlines land at the Berlin-Schönefeld Airport located 24 kilometers from the city while large companies arrive at the main airport of Berlin-Tegel, located 8 kilometers. The 2 airports have several means of transport to reach the city center or your hotel.

  • Train: The Airport Express leaves from Schönefeld airport which will take you to several stations in central Berlin such as Hauptbahnhof, Friedrichstrasse and Alexanderplatz in half an hour. Another option is to take the suburban train (S-Bahn) that takes a little longer, although you may be interested according to the schedule. In both cases you will have to buy a ticket for areas A, B and C that costs 3.40 euros per person and route.
  • Bus: The JetExpressBus leaves from Tegel airport, which will take you to Alexanderplatz in half an hour for 2.80 euros. From this square you can connect with several metro lines with which you can reach your hotel. Please note that from the Schönefeld airport it is not advisable to use the bus.
  • Cab: The prices to go to the city from the two airports are between 30 and 40 euros.
  • Private transport: With a price slightly higher than the taxi, it is the most comfortable option, since a driver at the airport will wait for you with a sign with your name, which will take you directly to the hotel. You can book it here.
