3 DAYS IN PARIS, THE BEST ITINERARY

Paris is possibly the city where we have walked the most. And it is that its attractions are so many and the distances so great, that it is almost impossible to see everything in a handful of days. That is why it is very important to plan well, and for this we will recommend a 3-day itinerary in Paris, so you can make the most of your visit to the capital of France to the fullest.

On this tour we will pass through the most important points of interest in Paris, we will know its most prominent neighborhoods, and of course, we will enjoy the Eiffel Tower from different points. Are you ready? Well, to the mess!

We start the day heading to the Île de la Cité, where a good number of interesting places are concentrated. There we visited the Notre Dame Cathedral (1), and do not forget to climb to the top of its tower to pay a visit to the famous gargoyles (and who knows if Quasimodo will appear!). Nearby there is the Flower market (2), one of the few that is preserved in this style throughout the city. Within walking distance is the palace of The Concierge (3), with its dark history as a city jail. And attached to it, the Sainte Chapelle (4), with its impressive stained glass windows and decoration. On the other side of the Seine we can approach to the Hôtel de Ville (5), the city hall.

A good option is to take a boat and enjoy a cruise on the Seine River, surrounding the Île de la Cité and reaching the Eiffel Tower, to return again. It is one of the best romantic plans to live in Paris.

Leaving the Pont Saint-Michel we enter the lively Latin quarter. Touring the Boulevard Saint-Michel and turning left on Rue Soufflot we find the Pantheon (6), another of our essential visits in Paris. If we retrace our steps we reach the Luxembourg gardens (7), the most beautiful in the city, a good place to make our first rest.

On the way back to the Seine we will be in a perfect area to eat, with lots of options for all palates. Once on the river bank we head west, and after about 20 minutes on foot for a nice walk, we reach the D'Orsay Museum (8), in an imposing building, with works by painters such as Van Gogh, Matisse or Monet.

We continue the walk until we reach the Hôtel des Invalides (9) and learn more about its history. Under its central dome rest the remains of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. At the back of this building is theAlexander III bridge (10), probably the most beautiful in Paris. And if you like museums, in the immediate vicinity are the Museum of l'Armée and the Rodin Museum.

In the afternoon, we set course for Trocadero (12), on the other side of the Seine, for which we will have to cross the Bridge of the Soul (11), tragically famous for being next to the tunnel where in 1997 the accident in which Lady Diana lost her life took place. On the other side of the bridge a life-size replica of the flame of the Statue of Liberty has been placed, to remind us that the French were in charge of its restoration. This place has become an impromptu altar for Diana's fans.

From Trocadero we will get the best views of the Eiffel Tower, and it is a good place to relax for a while. We can visit the Palace and the Trocadero gardens.

When the night is approaching we will cross the Seine again through the Pont d'Iéna (13) and, if we have time, we can take a walk around Mars field (13). This is also a good place to rest or prepare a picnic with a little wine and cheese, waiting for the best time to climb to the Eiffel Tower (13). At the top of the emblem of the city, flying over the rooftops, is where we will end the first day of our itinerary through Paris.

Hopefully you have rested well and breakfast has given you a good dose of energy, because today you will need it! We start with a main course ... Louvre Museum! (one). Early morning to be there before 9 in the morning and so do not waste too much time waiting in line. This visit can last a whole morning, although if you do it quickly you will have time to enjoy many other things in Paris. Eye! If it is the first Sunday of the month you know that the entrance is free, although the museum will be much fuller.

Next to the museum are two of the most beautiful gardens in Paris: the Carousel Garden (2), with its particular triumphal arch and its eight pink marble pillars, and the Garden of Tuileries (3), in French style and with beautiful walks full of sculptures and fountains. They are two good places to rest after an exhausting art session.

From there we flow directly into the Place de la Concorde (4) and his famous obelisk of Luxor, one of the treasures that Napoleon was brought from Egypt. Its source is also very photogenic! Before arriving, if the Louvre has fallen short (how can it be?) You can make a stop at the Museum of L'Orangerie, where there are works by Manet, Renori, Picasso or Matisse, among others.

The most important artery in Paris is born here: the Avenida des Champs-Élysées (7), which we will travel towards the Arc de Triomphe, for its more than 2 kilometers in length. Are you tired of just reading it? Do not worry that along the way you can make some stops in their exclusive stores (or just look at their windows ...), or take a bus that saves you all this way.

Following straight we will pass through the Grand palais (6) and the Petit Palais (5). The latter, free of charge, has a beautiful decoration and a rather interesting patio.

You will notice that you are approaching the Arc de Triomphe (8), because in its roundabout 13 great avenues of Paris converge ... and that feels from a distance! Remember that to get to the arch you cannot cross the road! There are underground entrances spread nearby. The views from the top of the arch are well worth the entrance.

To get to our next destination you can wander around leaving the Champs Elysees in parallel to your right. It will be about half an hour walking until you find the Church of the Madeleine (9), neoclassical style. And very close to her the Vendome Square (10), in whose center stands a column in the style of the Trajan's Column in Rome, decorated with reliefs and with a statue of Napoleon at the top. In the arcades of this square are some of the most exclusive shops in Paris, and the Ritz Hotel where Lady Diana stayed before she died.

From there we can go to Le Palais Royal (11), very close to the Louvre Museum, where we started the tour, in whose cafe in 1789 Camille Desmoulins announced the fall of the crown. Continuing north we take the Opera Avenue (12), built by Napoleon III to communicate the Louvre with the Garnier Palace and that today is an important commercial street.

To end the day, what better way to enjoy some opera in the Garnier Palace (13), its interiors are simply impressive. Although if you arrive in time, a little further north, on Boulevard Haussmann, you will find the Lafayette and Printemps Galleries (14), two department stores of those of look but not touched ... Enter the first, if only to contemplate its dome.

For the last day we booked some of the most interesting sites in Paris. In the early morning we move to the Palace of Versailles, one of the best excursions from Paris. There we can easily be a whole morning, between the visit to their rooms, rooms and rooms full of glamor, as to its huge gardens.

In the afternoon we recommend you visit the quintessential Bohemian neighborhood of Paris: Montmartre. To enjoy it to the fullest, it is best to get lost in its streets and observe every detail of Parisian life. A good tour is to get first to the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur (1), and go down, without forgetting to go through the Montmartre Museum (2) and the famous inn of Au Lapin Agile (3) very close there, where the bohemians of the time met. It is also a must see the Place du Tertre (4), meeting place of street performers, and the Rue des Trois Fères (5), one of the streets that best expresses the spirit of this neighborhood. And not far from there we can take out our most romantic vein and get excited in the Wall of the "I love you" (6), in the Place des Abbesses, written in more than 300 languages.

From here if we have time we can go to the Montmartre Cemetery (7), although you might prefer to go directly to the Moulin Rouge walking along the Clichy Boulevard (8), a bohemian area with a lot of nightlife.

To end the day we can pose in front of the Moulin Rouge (9) and take a picture with its eternal silhouette, or put the final touch to the trip to Paris and enjoy dinner and a show behind its walls. A good plan, don't you think?
