The cuisine of Poland surprised us very pleasantly, and we have to say that we have eaten super well! We have already told you everything to see and do in Krakow but the best is not yet there: where to go to recharge energy after a good kick to the city! So today we pay off our debt and we recommend you 7 restaurants where to eat in Krakow well and cheap.

One of the first things you have to do in Poland is to familiarize yourself with the concept of mleczny bar (milk bars). They are very cheap communist era restaurants, where the food served is simple and homemade, as if prepared by a Polish grandmother (and it is often like that!). The Pod Filarkami is a real milk bar, where you can eat for 2-4 € quietly. Try the pierogis (the delicious Polish dumplings) and a main dish (the most typical is the breaded chop although there is enough variety).

Other milkbar that conquers both guiris and locals. And it is normal, here you eat great and for little money. Is there a better combination? Many people recommend coming here to have breakfast since apparently it serves one of the best breakfasts in all of Krakow (the scrambled eggs with salmon have a pint), although of course, it is also worth going to eat. It also has a letter in English, which is appreciated 😉 Prices: the main courses are around 18 zloty (€ 4 approx) while the pierogis about 8 zloty.

Higher budget but without becoming a luxury is the Pod Baranem, one of the Krakow top rated restaurants. And yes, the food is delicious, but it is also the local looks like an art gallery, cool a lot! Average budget per person (starter, main course and drink, € 15-20 approx). Come on, from our point of view it is worth hitting the "whim" because for the same price of a "normal" restaurant in Spain, you will eat like a king!

Are you tired of Polish food and want to enjoy other gastronomies? Sure one delicious pizza you don't disgust him XD At Pizzeria Cyklop they prepare them very well. They offer two sizes (small and normal), prices are good (€ 5-7 approx) and the quality of the pizza is good. They also have the option of pasta, as well as salads, main courses and desserts. Definitely a great alternative to pierogis and Polish stews XD

It is a Polish restaurant that specializes in vegetarian and vegan food. The place is beautiful and the menu is quite extensive (mushroom ravioli, Moroccan vegetable stew, gnocchi with kale pesto, tofu pierogis with sweet potatoes, vegan burgers, hummus and much more!). The only bad thing is that it catches something far from the center, but luckily Krakow is not very big. Average price: main course and drink € 7 approx.
