We have already told you everything you can see and do in Edinburgh, but we have not told you that touring Victoria Street, climbing up Calton Hill or wandering the halls of the museums of the most beautiful city in Scotland will make you very hungry. So today we are going to recommend you 8 restaurants to eat in Edinburgh, good and cheap, as we like:

If you want to try typical dishes of the cuisine of Scotland (and the United Kingdom), this place is a good choice, especially if you go at noon (until 17.30) since they have a offer that includes 2 dishes from the menu (marked with a smiley face) for £ 13. If you prefer only one dish, prices are around £ 7-10. The offer is only valid from Monday to Saturday, but if you go Sunday, great! They prepare the sunday roast, a tradition in the UK!

The next proposal is to eat something informal, catch passing food and charge batteries. In this little chiriguito you can eat roast potatos with the most varied ingredients (from avocado to cheese, from chickpea salad to spiced rice). You can choose the size of the potato (small, medium and large). Tip: also get a piece of cakeThey are cheap and homemade!

The Indian food It is one of our favorites, if you also love it in Edinburgh is The Pakora Bar, a restaurant that specializes in Indian curries and, of course, pakoras ... croquettes, usually vegetables, potatoes and suuuuper rich chickpea flour ( although here they propose several flavors). Prices: the 5 pakoras dish costs £ 5-6 and the curries with nan or rice £ 7-8.

This is undoubtedly a winning bet: here the best one is prepared roast pork sandwich from toooda Scotland (or so they say hehe). The sandwiches are of 3 different sizes (a good idea is to order a large one for two people since it is heavy). Oink has 3 locations: Victoria Street, Canongate and Hanover Street. Price: £ 4 (medium sandwich). What can be unpleasant is that the whole pig (with a head) is taught in the shop window, warning for those with sensitive stomachs.

It is one of the best options for have breakfast (or make a brunch) in Edinburgh. The menu is quite extensive and the prices correct. We recommend the Breakfast Box, which has bacon, haggis, eggs, pancake, bread, scone, sausage and black pudding (£ 6). If you want something more light there are sandwiches, cakes or pancake (among other things).
