Like every great city that boasts, Tokyo offers a panoramic bus service to travel its streets mounted on 4 wheels (they are actually 6 wheels), stop where you are most interested and go back up to follow the route. We talk about the "Tokyo Sky Hop Bus Tour", which we enjoyed for 2 days on our adventure in Japan.

You really don't know what a Hop-on, Hop-off panoramic bus is? Very easy, they are buses that make different routes in the city and of which you can go up and down as many times as you want.

The Tokyo Sky Bus has three routes that run through the city in different areas:

- Asakusa - Tokyo Skytree course: in blue, it passes through the Tokyo Skytree, through the Asakusa neighborhood, through Ueno, also through the Akihabara neighborhood, through the Nihonbashi station and reaches the connection point in Marunouchi, near the Tokyo train station Station

- Odaiba course: green, after leaving from Marunouchi, it goes through the entire area of Odaiba, also stopping at the Tokyo Tower.

- Roppongi - Tokyo Tower course: Purple, leaves Marunouchi and heads towards the Roppongi area, with stops in Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Tower.

It depends on each line, but in general they usually run from 09.30 to 19.00. In the guide they give you when you buy the voucher this information appears.

There are two different bonuses:
  • 1 day (24 hours): ¥ 2,500 (¥ 1,200 for children)
  • 2 days (48 hours): ¥ 3,500 (¥ 1,700 for children)

Keep in mind that they are not calendar days, but calculate 24 or 48 hours. In this way, if you buy the one-day bonus at 3 in the afternoon, you can use it until that same time of the next day. When you show the ticket for the first time they write you the date and time, so they control the time.

It does not accept reservations, but you have several ways to buy it, either in the central office, in the Mitsubishi building (in front of the Marunouchi building and the Tokyo Station), in the office of the Tokyo Skytree tower or directly on the bus (the most simple).

The panoramic bus in Tokyo It is a good alternative to visit the city if you do not have too many days, although we miss stops in interesting areas of Tokyo.
