TRAVEL PREPARATIONS
When at the beginning of the year we had the 2014 calendar in front of us, the first thing we did was start scribbling possible dates for the trips we had planned for this year.
Once we marked the “long” trips that we would make this year, Peru and Iceland, we focused on the possible escapes that we could steal from the calendar.
And we will not lie, this year we have found enough bridges to confirm that the year is quite a traveler.
The first bridge that we will be able to enjoy is in June, from 20 to 24, thus being able to take advantage of enough days to consider the possibility of returning to one of the countries that we like the most and to which we try to return every year: Italy .

Manarola
… Cinque Terre!!
That portion of the coast, formed by five villages, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, in the province of La Spezia, washed by the Ligurian Sea.

Fast and with schedules varied enough to decide that this was the perfect way to get around these days.
After having this topic clarified, we started with the accommodation. The first day we will stay in Pisa, because to make the most of these days, we will leave Girona at 22.30 on Friday, so that day we plan it only as a transfer.
The next day we will be on our way to our central destination of this getaway, Cinque Terre.
We will go in train to La Spezzia and from there to Monterosso, the last town of Cinque Terre, which will be our base of operations the next two nights and the first of the villages we will walk on.
Since Monterosso we will go to Vernaza on foot, a journey of about 2 hours, counting the stops to rest and take pictures.

The third day of this getaway we will go from Monterosso to Vernazza by train, from here to start again on foot, this time to Corniglia.
After visiting this town of Cinque Terre, we will start again on the way to Manarola, where after visiting the town, we will do one of the most beautiful walks in this area of Italy: The Paseo del Amor, which will take us from Manarola to Romaggione.

This day we believe it will be the most intense of this getaway, but we expect that the good weather will accompany us and we will have enough hours of sun to squeeze the day to the fullest.
The fourth day of our getaway will be the day in which we change accommodation and we will travel to La Spezia, by boat, a route that we have read is essential in this area, we will leave things at the hotel we have booked and visit Porto Venere that Same late night.
